manic mondayz on a...tuesday?!

Maybe it's because I've been super busy, maybe it's because there were no stylish people walking the streets yesterday--who knows.  All I do know is that the two young women that I took pictures of today were totally chic, and not afraid to show it.  Photographed while on a midnight (/8pm) stroll through Union Square...

love love love the jackets.

weekend expose: concrete jungle where dreams are made of

As I stare out of my window onto the slick crowded streets, I can't help but think I'm in a love affair with New York.  In this city, one can be both entrapped by people yet never feel so distant from them. Diversity.  That's my favorite part, I think.  The people, the scenery, the noises.  You can have it all in a mere twenty-three mile radius. I think that writer Tony Judt summed this feeling up pretty well:

"To be sure, we all have our complaints. And while there is no other city where I could imagine living, there are many places that, for different purposes, I would rather be. But this too is a very New York sentiment. Chance made me an American, but I chose to be a New Yorker. I probably always was."

Some of my favorite picture's I've taken of New York

What would we do without these.

weekend excursion: rejoice and love yourself today

Saturday morning yoga.  I broke my weekend-yoga virginity and attended a 10:00 class at Yoga Vida NYC.  Seriously, I don't know how I went so long without it.
This weekend excursion is a must.  After a long week (and maybe week-night), you deserve to reward your body with this practice.  And although most yoga practices that I go to tend to relax me more than break a sweat, this one definitely burned more than candles.

it's easy to be puff

Well, thank god that spring was so short.  Everyone has stowed their trench boats back into the closet once they felt the chill that this morning brought.  But, out came the knee-length bubble jackets.  Now please tell me, where were these coats all winter long?! It seems like an army of "puffed" woman stormed the streets all the way from Fashion Avenue.  I'm not sure if I like this new trend or not--maybe it will be pushed to the back of the closet...forever.

Shiny.  I actually like this one.

Loooong.

Hey, two in one shot!
