Every New Yorker has ventured onto the subway (who can beat $2.50 travel fare?).  And I'm sure that while waiting underground, your sexual attraction is not buried. i never lived the dreams of prom kings and drama queens

This afternoon was the first day of WYSE in the second semester.  During the Welcome Week, my suite-mates and I joined a club called Women and Youth Supporting Each other.  It is composed of about fifteen NYU attendees (all girls, of course) who travel to Park Slope, Brooklyn each Thursday to mentor middle school girls.  It has actually been an outlet for me to meet friends, as well as providing a source of knowledge and trust to some of those who need it most.  These girls are a bundle of spunk, let me tell you.  And by the way--today our session was about sex.

Within the past thirty-six hours, I've spend sixteen inside of 4 Times Square (so that's only given me about twenty hours to eat, go to four classes and sleep).  Insane right?  Well, here's an exclusive look at the inside of Allure's fashion closet--along with a glimpse of the interns behind the scenes.

Before I began to spend my afternoons in Allure's fashion closet, I thought that I was well rehearsed in couture.  I soon realized that I only enjoyed creating outfits, rather than actually understanding the industry.  After categorizing designers from American Apparel to Reed Krakoff I've come to understand the nuances in their styles that I never truly saw before. Here's a short list which includes a few of my favorite high fashion designers:

1) Marc Jacobs: obviously.  I always liked him, but seeing his versatility up close & personal truly makes me appreciate his work.

2) Chloe:  one of the classiest designing houses I've yet to witness. Also, I love the (pale/neutral) color choices.

3)  Givenchy:  like WOAH.  Simple, sophisticated and even can be edgy.  Also their bathing suits are awesome.
